Strange and Amazing Hearing Aids

Welcome to The Hearing Aid Museum. Feel free to browse through whatever piques your interest. Here are some things to get you started.

Have you ever seen a "pen" hearing aid you carry in your shirt pocket?

Or a barrette hearing aid you wear in your hair?

Or a hearing aid that replaces your tie clip?

Or a tiny ear trumpet so small that it easily hides in your cupped hand (and works great too).

Or the very first hearing aid to contain a transistor?

Or a hearing aid that is covered in pure gold?

Or the very first hearing aid to contain a vacuum tube? And it still works 95 years later!

Or a man's vacuum tube hearing aid you wore on your wrist?

Or a lady's vacuum tube hearing aid you wore in your hair?

Or look at the enormous difference between the largest and smallest hearing aid battery in the museum.

Aren't you glad you don't have to lug around a heavy table top hearing aid?

Did you know that that you could listen to your TV via a t-coil and tiny loop pad as far back as 1956?

These are just some of the many interesting hearing aids and other items in the hearing aid museum.

A Work in Progress

The Hearing Aid Museum is far from finished (currently 58% done), however, feel free to browse the approximately 825 items that are displayed now. Also, check back from time to time. More hearing aids continue to be added weekly as time permits. We welcome your comments and feedback.
