Widex Model V1 Eyeglass Transistor Hearing Aid
The Widex Model V1 eyeglass hearing aid was manufactured by Toepholm
& Westermann A/S of Copenhagen,
Denmark and sold under the trade name of Widex. It came out in 1975.
As was common in the mid-1970s, eyeglasses had thick frames and large
lenses so the thick temple-pieces for the hearing aids didn't stand out
as much as they would have otherwise.
The back part of the temple-piece measured 9/16" high x ⅜" thick (1.4
x 1.0 cm) and weighed 2.1 oz. (60 g).
