Telex Model 962 "Accuratone" Eyeglass Hearing Aid The Telex Model 962 "Accuratone" eyeglass hearing aid was manufactured by Telex Communications, Inc. of St. Paul, Minnesota in 1957. It was unique in that it wasn't the usual eyeglass style, nor was it a standard BTE style. Rather, it was basically a BTE aid designed to slip over the end of a cut off temple-piece of regular eyeglasses. This hearing aid portion was 2" x ⅝" x ½", while the tube was ⅞" long. The microphone opening is the hole in the center of the darker brown circle (right side).
