Magnatone Model CA "Custom Aid" In-the-Ear Transistor Hearing Aid

This Magnatone Model CA "Custom Aid" full-shell in-the-ear hearing aid was manufactured by Magnatone Hearing Aid Corp. of Casselberry, FL in 1985.

The picture on the left shows the back of the full-shell left hearing aid, and the front of the right aid. Notice the red dot (lower right) on the right aid denoting that it is for the right ear. However, there is no corresponding blue dot on the left aid.

The Magnatone Model CA "Custom Aid" was one of the few hearing aids designed with rechargeable batteries. The 3-prong plug from the recharger plugs into the 3-hole recharging jack on the hearing aid.

The label in the bottom of the cord section at the back of the recharging case warned "Turn aid off when charging. Do not overcharge (12 hours maximum overnight)."
