Eyeglass Style Transistor Hearing Aids: 1954-1990

Lloyd Model 670H83 Eyeglass Transistor Hearing Aid

The Lloyd Model 670H83 eyeglass hearing aid was manufactured by/made for Lloyds Hearing Aid of Rockford, IL about 1967.

This hearing aid was basically a behind-the-ear hearing aid built into the end of an eyeglass temple piece.

Seen from the front, a person wearing the Lloyd Model 670H83 eyeglass hearing aid just looked like they were wearing regular eyeglasses.

Seen from the side, the temple pieces of the Lloyd Model 670H83 eyeglass hearing aid had large behind the ear "ear hooks" to house the electronics.

In this case, the left temple piece held the hearing aid and the right temple piece was a dummy designed to match the shape of the left temple piece.

The serial number (52572)  and model number (670H83) were stamped on the inside bottom of the left temple piece of the Lloyd Model 670H83 eyeglass hearing aid.
