Conversation Tubes

Oval-shaped Bell Conversation Tube

This unusual conversation tube has no maker's markings or date information on it. Both the earpiece and bell are made of imitation reddish translucent tortoise-shell.

It was probably made somewhere around 1900.

The overall length of this conversation tube including earpiece and bell is 43".

The tube is covered in woven brown (almost coppery-colored) fabric.
