Vacuum Tube Hearing Aids: 1921-1953

Fortiphone Model 23 Vacuum Tube Hearing Aid

 The Fortiphone model 23 vacuum tube hearing aid was manufactured by Fortiphone Ltd. of London about 1952 or 1953.

This hearing aid weighed 4 oz. including batteries. It measured 3⅛" x 1⅞" x ¾".

The back opened showing the battery compartment. The Fortiphone 23 was powered by a 30 volt "B" battery type 506E, and a 1.4 volt RM-1 mercury "A" battery.
