Conversation Tubes

Celluloid Conversation Tube

This "Faux Tortoiseshell" celluloid conversation tube has a metal spiral tube with a silk woven covering.

It is 35 inches in length, and has a bell opening of 2.5 inches. The ear piece is also of celluloid with an ivory ear tip.

The maker is unknown, but this sample was purchased in Holland. This conversation tube dates from somewhere around 1900.
