Hearing Aid Batteries

Great London Carbon Hearing Aid Battery

This battery was manufactured for the "Great London" carbon hearing aid of the 1920s.

It is typical of the batteries made for the early carbon hearing aids in the 1910s through the 1920s.

This 3 volt battery was composed of two large carbon-zinc dry cells in a black paper wrapping.

It measures 3 5/8” by 2 1/8” by 1” and weighs 7 oz.
