| According to this ad that appeared in the Saturday Evening Post, January 22, 1949, the Eveready 1052-P battery cost 27 cents. This ad shows the Eveready 1052-P 1½ volt "A" battery (right) paired with the Eveready 455-P 45 volt "B" battery (left). As you can see, the "B" battery was more than 7 times as expensive as the "A" battery, but it also lasted longer.
